Review: Journey App

Journey

Journey is a new app built by 2 App Studio. In its simplest form, Journey is a private journal app; but it’s actually so much more than that. With the ability to integrate with your social, health apps and your chosen cloud, the Journey app is a completely backed up private world all about you.

As a mental health blogger, I used the Journey app as a tool to assist me in tracking my illnesses as well as my general day to day.

One of the great things about this app is the mood tracker that’s attached to each journal entry. This is a feature which paramount for anyone wanting to track their mental health. The app will also help you identify patterns with types of activity which usually go along with each mood. There are of course plenty of other mood tracker apps, but the brilliant thing about this one is that you can also tag the place, the weather, the people you’re with and even upload images from that day.

The Journey app looks beautiful and is extremely user friendly. You can share memories and events with loved ones or keeps entries locked down using fingerprint locking for extra security. The map and calendar functions help you to organise your memories neatly by date and place, giving you a clear overview of your journal whenever and however you need it.

I used the Journey app over a two week period, and even then I felt like there was a lot of features I couldn’t yet see the full benefit of without long time use. Like I mentioned, the app can integrate with your health app, meaning you can use Journey to track your all round health.

Whether you want to use it for your mental health, fitness, medical needs, meditation, travel, business or just as a personal diary to capture your favourite memories, Journey is a great little app with a lot to offer and is completely customisable to you and your needs.

I loved my experience using this app and, as someone who regularly attends therapy sessions and doctor’s appointments, I can clearly see this app become an important tool in the mental health community.
